Broken Pipehitter's Review of Uncommon Carry Silver Bowman Mini Crossbow

Though I did not buy this from optic planet I do have a version that I got from somewhere else but originally got 2 diff ones both work same though I like mine this one is slightly more compact/concealable. This is something that I would recommend for Adults(though inner kid comes out but has potential to cause harm doc has Sesame St& Barbie band aids) I was kind of skeptical for the price as it being cheap novelty type item in reality but it's got a little bit of weight(feels like quality metal vs looking like a cheap stamped item) to it and you have to be careful as it does fling BB's toothpicks(cut off ends/use ones w/ a flat ends),Matches(Viking Funeral anyone) Cheap Qtips(ones with plastic shaft vs brand which has paper shaft) they fly better like any bolt/arrow the shaft should have little weight. Though I do feel I need to state this unless using Qtips but even than follow same rules of pew safety as it dents cans w/balls & I did get it to puncture can(slightly) so they do fly at a good clip(don't have a chronograph to get fps) but it's crazy & endless fun. As I mentioned I didn't buy it from here & I have a slightly fancier version(it's looks like a transformer head) but from what I read/seen they all do the same & OP price is like <-56% than MSRP\UC sites sells for so it's a bargain for self amusement and though I haven't brought it into work yet I do think that it I am going to get more as I see them creating competition(also @ work they highly frown upon "desk pops" & there is a memo on that subject lmao).I look fwd to having fun with Qtips outside of work(free wooden matches). The main reason for 4 stars, IT Doesn't Come with any paperwork/instructions & have to go to UC sites even than they suck & for what UC charges for them $59 should have paper instructions. Like It comes with a stand/rest but doesn't tell you how to assemble it & honestly the only reason I figured it out was when I searched web, OP's site showed up & they had a picture of it and was like oh that makes sense & simply fold tabs up but again I shouldn't need to go looking. Positive it does come with a spare cable(like a bow string on any recurve bow. Though 1 missing it's supposed to have a small screwdriver which by looks of it,if cable broke you would have to remove the recurve bow part to the xbow frame. Also besides no instructions again for what your paying for it one would think they would of given you some samples/example of the various "ammo" you can use with it & what/where to buy vs looking around to see if you have something(like play with this & here is what's needed),so like metal balls are 2mm vs norm BB's which I thought it used(.177=4-4.5mm)airsoft 6mm & I like support others besides the jungle site\big guys like OP&their sites but UC sells $5/25balls vs $5/500 jungle site, I ate crayons but that math anyone can do. But like I mentioned I originally tried with Brand Name Qtips & it launched them when but I got the cheaper ones with plastic shaft it really launched them and than pierce an empty can @ 5ft I was impressed so if you want a fun toy, stop reading &buy it like I mentioned though the ones that got are different looking & paid slightly less(if knew OP had them I might of got from OP as it's a comp I know well). everyone who I've shown it to so far has been impressed/wanted one(learned there is whole subgroup with mini bows 5-14" one with 10lb draw, xbows,& items that shoot things)as it's got some weight to it, not brittle yet its cheap fun too as u can use multiple projectiles some u may have or get tech free(cgars lounge/pubs give out matches & toothpicks). Honestly why are you still reading this go buy it now!Depending on ur job it could be ur"b/u" lol (likn20yrs ago as pt medic) we used to have water(pew) wars mind you most times we were mobile/driving/staging (but not involve public) & none looked like real pews, I kinda cheated/smarter borrowed spare Can from FD(H20 exting 2.5gal+comp air thanks chief ha) but can see a makeshift range in dispatch or anywhere w/o cams & easily hidden when OIC pops in ha yo when it's the Q word aka downtime. Also teaches you how to share your toys with others(or buy another & not share lol)
