Not the greatest helmet - US Night Vision PT Helmet A-Bravo

Was a bit disappointed by this helmet and I did A LOT of research before purchasing this one. First, I was trying to buy US made. This helmet is. Next, I wanted some protection from a typical fall, like if I jumped down from a log and didn't land right. This fit the requirement. Next, it needed good support for a night vision monocular. This helmet faltered on that. It has the needed adjustable straps but the chin part was a joke. I had to get a decent football helmet type and retrofit that on there. Fixed that problem.
Next, was head fitment. This is where it failed badly. I am a 54mm so ordered the small. WAY too small. Had to saw out a bunch of the liner to keep it from crushing my skull.
It only came with one side rail. I thought it came with two.
Also, it did not have the 3 drilled holes for the NVG mount. Had to do that myself.
I guess for $75 one you don't get drilled holes, on the $91 one you do.
After I finally tailored it to my needs it is now acceptable.
I am still giving it 3 stars as it is a good helmet for the money and did meet my general requirements. Just wanted to let the buyer know it will need adjustments.
Also bought a size large for my husband who is a 59mm and is a little too big for him. I guess if it were me I would buy too small and cut what you need to fit your head.
