M!a scope mount trial and error - Kensight M14 Brookfield Picatinny Rifle Rail Mount

I acquired a used M1A at auction last year and began a search for the correct scope mount to use with it. The project was made more difficult by an alteration made to the rifle's receiver dovetail by the previous owner.Unfortunate personal events complicated the timeline for determining the original item's suitability, but Optics Planet worked with me, even though the original item was months past its suitability guarantee. The item with which I chose to replace my original purchase appears to have solved the problem (only a trip to the range after mounting the scope will prove or disprove) but life keeps getting in the way! I have no doubt, however, if a problem arises Optics Planet will help solve it with their attitude toward great customer service!
