More like a dumb safe! - Vaultek Safe NMXi Large Capacity Wi-Fi Rugged Biometric Smart Safe

I spent hours researching small safes before deciding this one filled all the categories. Because of the price point I went back ond forth on the basix mx series vs the smart fingerprint wifi version. The wi-fi and fingerprint features appealed to me so I pulled the trigger. I couldn't find a better deal than through optics planet. The safe quality is awesome I even bought and added a magazine holder which fits great. The fingerprint reader was finicky with only one print stored but adding multiple prints on the same finger corrected this. The Wi-fi on the safe is terrible. I have spent countless hours getting this thing connected to the internet only for it to disconnect and fail reconnecting. I have gone through all the advanced setup tips but and contacted my provider and this thing just wont stay connected even with it plugged in to prevent the low power mode. I have also come home 3 times now to the safe alarm going off for "tampering". Nobody was home or in the house. After calling vaultek I changed the sensitivity from medium to low and it happened again so I had to just turn the feature off. Also if the alarm is going off and if the safe is actually connected to the internet there is no way to turn the alarm off remotely so if you're away it will sound until you return. Vaultek said vibrations outside like a car stereo can trigger a false alarm however reviewing the cameras and the time the alarm went off there was no outside or inside interference.... If it weren't for the fingerprint reader I would have gone with the basic safe and saved the extra money. The thought on the deisgn of this safe is all there however the execution was poor. Because of the countless frustrating hours this safe has wasted I give it a 1 star.
