I spent hours researching small safes before deciding this one filled all the categories. Because of the price point I went back ond forth on the basix mx series vs the smart fingerprint wifi version. The wi-fi and fingerprint features appealed to me so I pulled the trigger. I couldn't find a better deal than through optics planet. The safe quality is awesome I even bought and added a magazine holder which fits great. The fingerprint reader was finicky with only one print stored but adding multiple prints on the same finger corrected this. The Wi-fi on the safe is terrible. I have spent countless hours getting this thing connected to the internet only for it to disconnect and fail reconnecting. I have gone through all the advanced setup tips but and contacted my provider and this thing just wont stay connected even with it plugged in to prevent the low power mode. I have also come home 3 times now to the safe alarm going off for "tampering". Nobody was home or in the house. After calling vaultek I changed the sensitivity from medium to low and it happened again so I had to just turn the feature off. Also if the alarm is going off and if the safe is actually connected to the internet there is no way to turn the alarm off remotely so if you're away it will sound until you return. Vaultek said vibrations outside like a car stereo can trigger a false alarm however reviewing the cameras and the time the alarm went off there was no outside or inside interference.... All of the functions work great as advertised. Biometric was working 90-95% with one fingerprint. After registering same index fingerprint as an additional fingerprints (takes 5 views / scans per registered fingerprint), it works flawlessly. I wish the height was just a bit more so the handguns rear sight is not bumping against the upper shelf, when taking out, but you can lay it down if you want. My biggest concern was of course if it functions as a safe and ba able to monitor / get notification when someone else accesses it. You can also name fingerprints as well to see which individual accessed it.

One user mentioned it did not connect to Mesh network. I use Orbi pro AX6000 and it has been working without any issues at all. Temp, humidity sensors and light is a plus. Overall, super happy with the product.

Fits 3 full size hand guns, clips, holsters and plenty of space for miscellaneous items. Fingerprint can be finicky. Battery lasts forever! It’s not too bulky and has a nice modern look. If they built a rifle safe I’d buy it too.

Well made solid design. The Fingerprint sensor works quickly. Awesome for quick access and well lit if you need to grab your gun in the dark during an emergency or you're in a rush to go somewhere.I love technology so getting the alerts from the app is perfect for me. I have a 17 month old and it keeps my handguns in a good safe place.
