Great magnifier with a slick mount - Vector Optics Paragon 5x30 Magnifier Micro

This is a slick magnifier with beautiful glass. Easily some of the best budget glass. I tried this on an overcast day as well, and it was as bright or brighter than my naked eye. The 30mm tube really does a great job of drawing in the light even at 5x zoom. The magnifier is hard to use without a stable shooting position -- the eye box is easy to lose when moving around. Eye relief is pretty reasonable and forgiving for small prisms. the 5x zoom really helps to see detail at distance, but it makes the FOV pretty small. The mount is held open by strong spring tension and locks very securely in place when closed. At its msrp, i would buy this optic again after trying, but on sale, this is in a class of its own.
