terrytr6's Review of Vector Optics Scrapper 1x22mm Reflex Red Dot Sight
1. a complaint, and this may lie with Vector, not optics planet. One of my criteria for selecting a red dot was that I wanted "shake awake". I found it very difficult to identify which Vector models had it and which didn't.
2. On the good. I found the dot to have a very good range of brightness and was clear and easy to place on my intended target.
3. I also like the capped adjustment controls and the fact that the cap is also the tool for making adjustments. Be careful not to lose one as I suspect that will also lose you waterproofness. not a good thing, but setting zero should be a rather infrequent adjustment and having screw caps instead of exposed knobs makes sealing the unit much easier and more secure. If you think you would need frequent adjustments, this may not be the most convenient red dot for you.
4. I found the low mount was the perfect height for my nylon 66 which has a tip-off to picatinny adapter. when I want real precision, I can swap to my pre- zero'd scope, but at 50 yards, this red dot give me more than acceptable groups at anything I can see at that range.
