This scope will not mount to the AK platform. It is stated in the description as such. You will have to purchase this base to make it work on the AK. Kalinka Optics POSP AK Bottom Mount w/Black Finish for new POSP scopes and BP-02 Mounts for this higher base. It cost $30-$40. As with any AK add on it will require some fitting. It does give you weapon the Russian look. You could get a better red dot with the added cost.
