Sunjammer's Review of Vega Holsters IWB James Bond. Suede Holster

I have a drawful of holsters for my Bersa 380 Thunder, most of which suffer from at least one of the usual problems. They're either uncomfortable, of poor manufacture, don't conceal well, or are difficult to access in a stressful situation. The few exceptions are usually expensive...except, so far, for this one from Vega Holsters. It is made from heavy, but soft, form fitting suede leather, well designed, generously cut, and carefully sewn, and fitted with reversible belt clip. It is lined with a grippy resin coating to enhance retention while worn and facilitate removal when not. It's most practical feature is it's cognac colored suede construction which makes it the most comfortable holster I've used to date, but most importantly, is that suede texture which offers unequaled friction against other fabric but is silky smooth against skin, making it stay precisely where put. The lightweight belt or pants clip provided that added security, and ensures it will stay in place in even the most active situations, although I'm forced to concede it would fall just shy of suitable for use in a tactical or combat environment. But it's strengths are concealment and comfort, and it really does 'disappear' when used with small to medium sized revolvers and especially semi-autos. So it should therefore surprise no one that it has been featured as James Bond's holster of choice in the three most recent films. There are other holsters more suitable for secure carry, with more advanced retention, and of materials that would better protect your weapon from damage in a fall or life and death struggle, but for the MOST discreet civilian carry, this is one superb product, and quite a bargain at it's modest price. I recommend it highly, but strictly in those applications for which it was designed
