Great bag for edc - Vertx EDC Transit Sling 16L Backpack

I needed a bag to carry some books and writing pads/pens. It also had to carry a CCW on certain occasions. I did not want it to be overly large, like a normal backpack would be.

After ordering this, I thought it would be too small, but it was too late to cancel. Things have a way of working out for the best, as it turned out to be the perfect size for my needs. It has a hidden compartment in the back for CCW that works really well (watch the videos on the Vertx site) for quick access. I found for me this did not work well because the books in the main compartment would be balancing on top of a gun when the bag was laid on a table. It just had the look that something was not right.

What I figured out was that I could use a Velcro "holster" and mag carrier in the front compartment, and the pistol fits well without looking suspicious. This also has the advantage of a quick open method of reaching the gun. Once again, watch the Vertx video on their site.

The bag is not inexpensive, but so far, I feel it is worth the cost for the quality and design that you get.
