Used this to reduce the stiff recoil of my very lightweight 308 RAP with an 18 inch barrel. This break took it from not being fun to shoot to now I can enjoy shooting my new rifle. My RAP now recoils about the same as my heavy 26 inch bull barrel Rem 700 Recoil is now manageable. Get a good crush washer to time the break. I used a YHM (Yankee Hill Machine) washer
Pros:
  • Looks good on the rifle
  • Really reduced felt recoil
Cons:
  • Easy to over-torque
  • timing takes some patience during installation
Best Used for:
  • Light heavy recoiling rifles
