I have this on my ar15 16” stainless fluted 1:8 twist barrel. The recoil is very little but it’s super loud the concussion is crazy explosive. Bought from a different website FYI I honestly feel this is more for competition shooting. As for home defense not really recommend but it’s your decision. Over all a good product
