Mark's Review of Viridian OPMOD Omega Compact Green Dot Reflex Sight
The optic seems ok when working but the battery is constantly dead. 3 batteries after a few months. It is supposed to have auto off/on and that does appear to be working, dot is off after ~2 minutes. Not sure why the battery dies so quickly. For reference this is on my wife's carry and she works from home. It is in the safe not moving for 90% of the month so it should be off.
This is part of the reason for the bad review. It wouldn't even be super annoying if it wasnt for the fact the optic has to come off to change the battery. I knew that and other optics i own are like this but I was hoping to get 6 months to 1 year out of the battery. Having to loctite, torque, and zero every month is annoying.

Pros:
- Green dot is relatively clear for my astigmatism
- Has an auto off/on feature
- Fits on specified footprint
Cons:
- short battery life
- Dead from sitting in safe
Best Used for:
- Practicing changing batteries and zeroing red dots
