Major design flaw, battery clips will crack and fall off, considering litigation - Viridian Weapon Technologies X5L-RS Gen 3 LED Universal Green Laser Sight w/Weapon Light

These are two different 2 years old batteries off of two different laser pointers. One cracked right at the hinge, while in storage, no use or stress, moisture managed in a safe. The other is showing cracks at the same exact location! I contacted Virginian only to get a dismissal that batteries are NOT included in their famous 7 years warranty. The batteries are clearly poorly designed and will crack after a few years. Be warned, you will have to spend another $40 every year or so. Poor customer service and very poor design, these are installed on life protecting weapons and they will fail on you.
