Can not recommend... - VISM Fast Plate Carrier for 10x12in Plates

Got the plate carrier and thought all was fine in spite of it looking a bit cheesy and the shoulder straps being WAY too long. (I'm 6'0" tall, 215 lbs, with a 48" chest, btw...) I put my plates in, tried it on, and had to pull the shoulder straps down and velcro them to the ID panel just to lift the plates to my collar. Still, it worked, and I was just going to stash this under my seat in my truck in case I ever needed it, so no big deal. I decided to try it on again and I heard a "POP!" from the side attachment, and sure enough, without any rough handling, I had popped a seam. Quality just isn't there on this one. The 3 routing loops on either side are also made of the wrong kind of hook and loop which is too stiff, so they stick straight up and it just looked and felt tacky. I was willing to overlook that, as well as the crooked molle, but after the ripped seam, I couldnt deny it anymore. My suggestion is to spend the extra $10-15 on a Condor Sentry (which is what this is copying). Better to get the good budget carrier rather than a bad copy of the good budget carrier. I'm returning mine and decided to go with a Condor Vanquish for $50, which is also similar, but modular. I will say, however, that the $15 NCStar Discrete plate carrier is VERY good for the money, albeit a different style of carrier.
