Unreliable lights - VISM Red Dot Sight / Green Laser Sight / LED Flashlight Combo w/ Quick Release Mount VDFLGQ142

As much as I hate to say it I would not trust this optic in a defensive situation.

Upon receiving this optic I promptly mounted it to my shotgun - easy enough.

But after installing the supplied batteries for the flashlight and laser and trying to turn them on the lights would not consistently turn on.

Pressing the power switch for the flashlight would sometimes not turn it on, or the light would turn on and then randomly turn off without pressing the button to turn it off. Shaking the gun would sometimes make the light turn on for a brief moment. Sometimes the light wouldn’t turn on at all upon pressing the on switch.

Same story for the green laser. In fact while I was zeroing the laser it switched off during adjustment - very disappointing.

The red dot looks good enough but the rotary knob to turn the dot on and adjust brightness is tough to adjust - would be better if it were buttons instead.

I liked the idea of this optic but the performance has left me looking for something I can trust.
