Dave's Review of Volquartsen Firearms Laminated Wood Grips for the SW22
These are very nice looking grips. I have large hands and they fit me well. I had a bit of rubbing above my right third finger knuckle. If I had kept the grips, then I would have removed some wood in that spot.
The problem that I had was that every time I put the pistol down on the table, the magazine release would be depressed by the table surface and when I picked the pistol up the magazine would fall on the floor. I felt that this was unacceptable for such an expensive grip and I sent mine back for a refund. I called Volquartsen to report the design problem.
Another issue is that your magazines must drop free when hitting the release button since the lower portion of the grips extends down well below the bottom of the magazine. One of my magazines that came with the pistol did NOT drop free and I had to spend 45 minutes trying to find the area that was binding to fix the problem.
