My 10-22 didn't have a heavy trigger pull like some that I have heard of, but it was long and creepy. Installing the Volquartsen target hammer made it noticeably cleaner. There is only a parts list and no instructions for installation. There are good videos on YouTube to get you through. Don't mix the trigger return spring (long) with the sear reset spring (short). Other than that snafu, the installation was a 10 minute job.
