Excellent mount for left handed ar's - Vortex Sport Cantilever 30mm Rifle Scope Ring Mount

This is a great mount for all you lefties out there. What you might not realize until it's too late, is that most one-piece optics mounts do not work well with left-handed AR platforms. Here's why. All are designed for RH rifles. So the picatinney mounts use large knobs or nuts on the left side of the mount. Most cannot be swapped to the other side. Unlike two-piece scope mounts, you can't just flip them around to put the knobs/nuts on the other side, because this type of mount would then be backwards and would move the scope too far to the rear of the rifle. The problem with those knobs/ nuts is that they don't allow your ejection port to open fully. That could cause problems. The Vortex mount uses recessed hex screws that don't interfere with left ejection port operation. That, along with its overall high quality, is why I choose this mount for all my LH AR's.
