I don't how one could get better optics at this price and this size. 8X is perfect for one handed operation, anymore and the view would be too shaky. Focus ring operates just fine with one hand. Light weight and small enough to easily carry in a shirt pocket. Having lost most of the vision in my right eye there was really no point in carrying binoculars anymore. I'm a big fan of Vortex optics and their warranty. These will go with me on my kayak, hunting and just for fun viewing in general.

Pros:
- size,light weight, easy one hand operation
Cons:
- my dog chewed up the strap, must taste good as she never chews up anything ;-)
Best Used for:
- pocket carry casual viewing, my primary goal is hunting.
