I compared the Vortex to other more expensive models and couldn't see any difference in the fit or finish. I was looking for a scope that had a hard anodized single-piece aircraft-grade aluminum tube that is nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed for waterproof/fogproof performance. I also wanted limited reflectivity on the incoming end. The Vortex fit these requirements nicely and a at the best price for this style scope. Looks great on my AR. Really like the 1-4 magnification. This has the look, feel and operation of a high end scope but at a value price.
