Tray's Review of Vortex Crossfire II AO 4-12x50mm 1in Tube Second Focal Plane Rifle Scope
I have been absolutely blown away by the quality of this scope. Purchased to replace a freebie scope that came with a recent rifle purchase, and this was the best upgrade I could've made. Scope feels like quality right out of the box, and the clarity and brightness of the optic was amazing.
I wear progressive lenses to see, and I often struggle to see clearly through most scopes. With the Crossfire II, my eyes had no problems adjusting to this scope. I followed the set up instructions, and watched a Vortex staff set up video on YouTube to get things set up right. Once installed, the eye relief was perfect, sight picture bright and clear, and I didn't have to do any "searching" to get the best picture through my glasses. Having the "AO" model made things even better, as I can have a bit more focus options depending on the distance I'm shooting.
At the range, I did a quick boresight, and it didn't take long to get sub-MOA groups with this scope. Adjustments were accurate and easy, and the clarity in this scope is just top-notch.
I have a Nikon Buckmaster on my other rifle, but it's days are numbered, as I'm already seeing such a huge improvement with the Crossfire II. Buckmaster is a decent scope, but just can't compare to the Vortex. I'm spoiled now!
