Best for the money - OpticsPlanet Exclusive Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16x42mm Rifle Scope, 1in Tube, Second Focal Plane (SFP)

I ordered this scope for a Weatherby Vanguard rifle in 7mm-08. It worked very well. Is nice and clear, and has a good magnification range for what I need. The only problem I encountered, is the ring height needed for the magnification ring to clear the receiver. With a 42 mm front objective, normally low rings would work. But the magnification ring on this scope is so large, it wouldn't clear the receiver with low rings. So had to order medium rings to get the clearance so the magnification ring would clear the receiver and turn freely. Would recommend this scope for its value. Am ordering another one for a 1965 made Winchester model 70 in .243 caliber.
