Extremely clear glass - better than comparable nikon - OpticsPlanet Exclusive Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16x42mm Rifle Scope, 1in Tube, Second Focal Plane (SFP)

I've owned 3 Nikon scopes prior and thought for my new 243 bolt action, I'd give Vortex a try. Always liked my Nikons (and still do) but this Vortex scope has noticeably better glass. Eye relief is excellent up to 14x and at 16x, I'd categorize it as almost excellent (and very usable). It is a BDC reticle and initially took a little adjustment compared to the Nikon reticle. But it's a short learning curve and I'm very pleased with this scope. Again, not bashing Nikon but dollar for dollar, Vortex has won me over.

As for Optics Planet, shipping was free but did take 5 work days to arrive. Kind of expected 2 day delivery like the competition. Not necessarily a deal breaker as I expect I'll make more purchases at OP.
