Although it's plastic, it's still made well. If it were aluminum, I would have gladly paid double the price. The mesh is visible when using it, but you soon forget it's there even though it is very noticeable. Worth every penny, and IMO is a no-brainer addition to your SPARC.
Pros: Inexpensive, works as advertised, screw in to install
Cons: Plastic, mesh is visibly noticable when using
