Excellent scope - Vortex Nomad 20-60x60mm Straight Spotting Scope NMD-60S

A number of the reviews I read on this scope have been quite negative. When I first saw the scope for myself, I was amazed at the level of quality for a scope that was so low priced. The overall construction is outstanding, the zoom and focus functions operate very smoothly. The sun shade on my model is not loose and flimsy as described in some of the other reviews I read. The image quality is very good. It is crisp, clear, and maintains its clarity out to the perimeter of the lens. The only downside I have discovered at this point is that the eye relief tapers off quickly after about 40x, and this makes it difficult to get the full field-of-view without removing eye glasses for those of us who wear them. With my glasses removed, it focused just fine, and I was able to get the full field-of-view. As I see it, the eye relief problem is only a minor inconvenience. Overall, I am exceedingly pleased with this scope. It is an outstanding value for the money, it is lightweight, and it is durably constructed. It also has an outstanding warranty. If you are looking for a scope for a low price that will do everything that 90% of hunters need, this is the scope for you.
