This is great for the range. Don't waste your time with 50 dollar camera tripods. Even the slightest breeze will induce vibration and distort your image. This tripod is rock solid stable. If you are packing light for back country spend the extra cash for the carbon fiber weight savings. I was easily spotting hit placement at 400 yds with this setup. OP had the best price when comparing to multiple other web retailers.
