Okay, but not everything they say they are. - Vortex Precision Matched Rifle Scope Rings

I believe the bottom ring halves may go completely through the manufacturing process together, but definitely do not believe the top halves follow the bottoms through manufacturing. My bottom halves have slightly different thickness and width than the top halves do. Also the top halves are a totally different color than the bottom halves. This color variation was visible through the plastic packaging, and even more visible when removed from the packaging. One set of the top half bolts appear rusted and totally different then the ones on the other ring also adding to my belief the were made a different times. Disappointing when you consider the cost of the set. I am putting them on a LR hunting rig, but should have gotten the MDT's. When did the consumer become quality control for these companies?
