These will not fit weaver bases, description is incorrect - Vortex Pro Series Rifle Scope Rings

Beware, these are described as fitting either Picatinny *or* Weaver mounts, however, they will not fit Weaver mounts. I bought these for my Remington XCR precision rifle which has Leupold Weaver bases. The cross piece on the underside of the rings is just a tiny bit too wide to fit inside the grove in the Weaver bases. To make sure it wasn't a problem with the Leupold bases, I also tried a set of Redfield Weaver bases and had the same problem. Perhaps there is a different brand of Weaver mount that these rings *will* fit, but Leupold and Redfield is a big NO. I gave them two stars because they are otherwise good quality rings and do fit Picatinny mounts. Too bad they are not manufactured properly to be compatible with Weaver bases.
