Excellent spotting scope - Vortex Razor HD 16-48x65 Spotting Scope

I have used some high end spotting scopes in the past, and to my eyes, this is just as crisp. I gave up some light gathering capability and magnification range by getting a 65 mm objective, but this is a much easier size to store, carry, and manage. I bought an inexpensive spotting scope years ago -- what I bought was the lesson that if you want a useful spotting scope, it is going to cost some money! I am grateful that Optics Planet put this one on sale. I use Vortex Viper binoculars, after side by side comparisons with high end 10x50's. Swarovski's were clearer, but none of others I looked at. I held out for the Razor glass in the spotting scope because the magnification requires as much discrimination as possible. Very pleased with the handling, controls, and view through this scope. Seems to be a high quality product.
