Eyepiece just falls out... maybe they'll get it right on the second try. - Vortex Razor HD 20-60x85 Spotting Scope

I have one of these scopes (HD Razor 20-60 X 85) and returned it to VORTEX because the eyepiece kept falling right out of the scope's body. They "fixed it" and sent it back. I then brought it to my next match and another guy was spotting with it and he soon asked me if the eyepiece was supposed to just come loose like it was doing. I looked at it and put it away...took it home and examined it closely to see what the deal was and found that the bayonet mount piece that is the eyepiece receptacle inside the spotting scope's body was not secured by anything more than a wimpy little rubber O ring....meaning that once you mounted the eyepiece following the directions, it would just fall right back out again..Hmmm....so I called VORTEX and they are sending me another whole new scope. I guess I'll find out if that happens all over again, but I WAS NOT TOO HAPPY to have spent that amount of money on an unreliable piece of #$%^& that just falls apart. The customer service seems to be really good except for that they didn't even come close to fixing the problem the first try around!
