Very clear good quality glass. I especially like the additional fine focus knob, which until now has been found only on spotting scopes at almost three times the price. We are using this scope for shooting reactive paper targets out to 600 yards and steel from 600 to 1000yards. This scope allows us to see our hits clearly whereas with our previous popular Brandname scope we could not see hits past 300 yards. I have not had an opportunity to test the Vortex warranty, but with lifetime no questions asked, it's hard to go wrong! With optics you get what you pay for. This scope may be the exception to this statement because Vortex has kept it's price reasonable for exceptional quality. You can get only a slight improvement in quality for almost three times the money with the other three big brand names.
