Great hunting optic - Vortex Razor HD LH 3-15x42 Rifle Scope

Mounted the Razor 3-15x HSR-4 on a new 7mm Rem Mag hunting build on a Remington 700. Third shot down the new barrel put me directly in the bullseye. Side by side next to my NXS, I could not tell the difference in clarity, and no fade in the absolute edges of view.

Once the rifle was focused, on 15x, I could very easily transition from 100-300 yard targets with a slight twist of the side focus knob.

Clicks were solid and tactile, and when paired with the HSR-4 reticle, I feel that's why it took so few shots to obtain zero.

Now the reticle. That was the main reason I purchased this scope. The HSR-4 is slightly different from how every Google search shows it. It is very similar in size to the Nightforce MOAR-T, and fills the sight picture well. 24 moa down, and 8 to either side of center, it's a very clean and usable reticle. Capped turrets means you won't be dialing in your longer shots, and with a good pairing, the reticle will hold up for long range shots.

Next time out I will be performing a box test to ensure reticle movement and re zero.
