Graham's Review of Vortex Razor UHD 18x56mm Roof Prism Binoculars
These 18x56 Vortex Razor UHDs probably have the best resolving power of any binoculars (that are feasible to carry around) on the market today. Swarovski SLCs may have more natural image quality with less chromatic aberration, but these UHDs can resolve an insane amount of detail. Obviously a good tripod is a must-have to use these effectively. These are amazing for long distance birding and western big game hunting. I can spend hours glassing with no fatigue. These make glassing for hours enjoyable instead of a chore.
Pros:
- unbeatable resolving power
- not overwhelmingly large for how powerful they are
- Vortex has the best warranty in the world
Cons:
- some chromatic aberration is present
Best Used for:
- western big game hunting
- long distance birding
