Great scope at a great price
I have a couple of Nikon's and a Leupold VX2 but this scope blows them out of the water.You really notice a difference when you shoot out at 200 and 300yds.I've never shot super high end scopes but for less than$500 this is definitely the best I've seen

Put this scope on a Savage Model 11 .223 for Coyote hunting. The glass is very clear all the way to the edges. The focus is easy and works very well. Good eye relief. The group of guys I shoot with are all starting to realize that Vortex Viper Scopes are far superior to Nikon Monarchs we were shooting.

Really nice scope
Really nice scope. Once sighted in, it held perfect zero with no change for over 80 rounds of .308 on a Savage Hog hunter. Lot of abuse for a first day, but the scope worked great and really clear. I used to always buy Nikon scopes, but I find myself ordering Vortex scopes now. Just ordered my fourth Vortex scope (used Diamondback and Viper models and both very good glass for almost equal price of Nikon)

Nice Scoop for the price
I have had this scoop on my 15-22 for almost a year. Kids love the scoop and has a nice eye relief.
Pros: Holds up well and glass is very clear, nice rang of eye relief.
Cons: Did not come with scoop rings

Vortex Viper
The reticle has hash marks as opposed to dots as advertised. A little too hard to see in lower light situations.

Vortex Viper 3-9x40

Vortex viper 3x9x40 rifle scope
Fantastic scope...VERY clear...can't wait to REALLY it put it to the test this fall...(i own the viper binnocs too, love them!!!)
