Up until now Vortex has been one of my favorite manufacturers. This has changed recently. My SPAR2 arrived with scratches (NOT a true hard anodized finish) and blemishes. And I didn't even bother to take off the rubber "protective" cover to see how bad the finish was. I have no idea if this thing will even take or hold a zero.
It's obvious that with manufacture in Chinese factories all attempts at quality control are lost.
While OP is allowing a no questions asked exchange, this adds 2 more weeks in shipping to the week it already took to get this, so it will be a month since I placed my order before I can even use this thing.
I can't in good conscious recommend Vortex to anyone anymore.

- AAA Battery powered instead of weird & hard to find watch batteries.
- Specific to AR's
Cons:
- Bad finish & Quality Control
- Damaged right out of the box

- Paperweight
