Excellent red dot - Vortex SPARC II Red Dot 2 MOA SPC-402

This is my second purchase of a SPARC II, and makes it the third Vortex red dot as I also have an original version of the sight by Vortex.
I have mounted these sights on an AK, and both of my Ruger carbines, a mini 14 and mini 30. I have found all to be excellent red dot sights in all three applications. They are what they are, quick target acquisition non magnification sights. Due to my older eyes, I don't shoot out beyond 100 yds, and these devices do just fine for my needs. The most notable improvement of the SPARC II over the original are most notably, in my opinion, is the lens covers. Everything else is good, but the cable wires that secure the two caps are still difficult to manage. That said, I still appreciate having them to keep from losing or dropping the caps. I would recommend this Vortex product as a good buy, if you're looking for a good mid priced red dot that is relatively easy to adjust, so far is rugged, and holds its adjustments.
