Strike eagle scope 1-6x24 ar-bdc reticle - Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24mm Rifle Scope AR-BDC Reticle

I've been reading about this new scope for weeks before I finally found one in stock here at Opticsplanet. It's strange that I didn't check here first since I've gotten my best deals here and they have free shipping with 10% off coupons almost all the time.
This isn't my first Vortex scope and won't be my last, this scope is sturdy, well made with excellent glass. The knobs are solid construction with great audible clicks but really with this type of scope you get it sighted in and leave it alone. This scope isn't for dialing elevation for a shot, it's for holding for your shot with the BDC (Bullet Drop Compensator) Reticle. And it's top notch for that. Unlike some of the other offerings in AR scopes in the 1-4 power range you can actually still use the reticle in the Vortex at the lower power settings. In others that I own on 1X the reticle is used more like a Red Dot than an actual readable reticle, so this is a huge improvement. So yes this is also illuminated with different brightness settings. It also comes with flip up caps and the power ring is perfect for grabbing hold of to turn/adjust from 1-6 or anywhere in between. I've got others that have a cat-tail lever that you lift up to adjust the power and it just gets annoying.
All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase and the way Opticsplanet handled everything, I've been very happy with all my Vortex scopes and will happily purchase as many more as I can.
