The Vortex Summit SS Quick-Release Tripod Plate makes setting up quick and easy. I leave it attached to my spotting scope and the quick-release allows me to be glassing potential quarry within seconds. It also speeds up the packing up process and I can either move on or start a stalk much quicker. My spotting scope is fairly heavy and the cork surface grips the scope without any slippage regarless of how I rotate the tripod head.
