I recently purchased an older Ithaca model 37 deerslayer. I really wanted to mount a scope to it so I could put cross hairs on my target. I had the top of my receiver drilled and tapped to accept a mount base and then I ordered the triumph 3-9 x 40 kit with mounting rings. By far the best decision I have ever made. Man this really blew me away. Heavy duty crystal clear scope and great value. I was told I needed to buy this setup by a friend and I am glad I listened and you should too
