Not up to the vortex name - Vortex Vanquish 8x26mm Porro Prism Compact Binoculars

I guess I know now to stay away from their bottom end binoculars. I've owned many compacts and these are nothing to write home about. Very difficult to see through and the eye cups only have one position so I have to shove my eye into them to see anything. Smallish sweetspot. Not very bright, hard to get into perfect focus. I rather pay $75 and have a non waterproof Olympus compact because optically at least in every way IMO they are much better. My first big disappointment from Vortex. They are cool looking however.
