My family gave me a Vortex Diamondback 10X42 binocular for Christmas. Bright and sharp! Took it out looking for owls the day after Christmas, and they caused a headache after short use, and I couldn't hold them steady.(Not 19 any more.)
The seller agreed to exchange them for me, and I would pay the difference in cost for a different series. But, apparently,(story of my life!) Vortex had decided not to offer the 6X32s I really wanted, so, I was offered the Viper 8X42s at the same price. Happy Camper! Much lighter than my old, very satisfactory, Bushnell Legends, bright, and sharp! Fully the equal of the Nikon Monarchs I had been lusting after, but I haven't had the chance to compare them side by side. JIC rating of 6, which means fully waterproof.
Definitely recommended. Product and customer service are outstanding.
Pros: Light, easy to focus, passable night glasses, nice looking, appears to be quality build and customer service is outstanding.
Cons: None that I have noticed.
