Elk hunting in Idaho was the need to change and upgrade binoculars. The clarity of these 12s is phenomenal. My Pentax 16s has served me well but this reduced size and field of view blew them away. Even while magnification was not the same the Vortex clarity allowed for greater visibility. Trading up my spotting scope next. I will use these while deer hunting as well. Good product and like that it came with a chest carry pouch.
