Not the quality i was expecting - Vortex Viper HD 12x50mm Roof Prism Binoculars

Having two rifle scopes from Vortex, that have been great, I was very excited to upgrade my binoculars to Vortex this season as well. Ordered the Vipers in late September and got to use them one time before I have to send them back. I hunt west Texas and it gets dusty out there. Was trying to clean the dust off using one of the methods recommended in the manual and the front lens shattered. I’m sure Vortex will stand behind the warranty but it’s a huge inconvenience with the season just starting here. The quality of some of their stuff coming out lately is questionable and starting to see more and more reviews to that nature. The older models are incredible and have had no issues. I’m certain these will get fixed just don’t know how long I’ll be without.
