Viper hd 2-10x42 - Vortex Viper HD 2-10x42 Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, Second Focal Plane

I've been waiting for Vortex to introduce a hunter's scope with their Dead-Hold BDC reticle and illumination for several years. When I saw they had finally done it, I checked OP to check pricing and availability. Placed my order on Monday morning, had my scope on Friday afternoon that same week. Got it mounted on my rifle and took a quick look through it. The depth of field made the leaves on the trees (about 250-300yds away) look 'layered'. It was early morning twilight and everything stood out very clear, as would be expected with HD glass and a 42mm objective. Checked the illuminated center dot, it is just what I was expecting in terms of size and brightness. Waiting to take it to the range to sight it in.
