I recently pick this scope up on sale. The price was to good to pass up. I have the 2nd gen version also. I will say the 2nd gen has a little better glass but you are going to pay about double. Also this weights less than the 2nd gen. This scope has everything you need to get out past 1000 yards and also get the long range shot for hunting.
