Flawless rings - Vortex Viper Riflescope Rings

This is the second set of the Vortex Viper Riflescope Rings that I have purchased and cannot say enough good about them. I've also used the Vortex Precision Rings for a customer's Rifle and cannot see why it would be necessary to spend that much when these rings, in my opinion, are better. Using a Wheeler scope mount kit, I found it unnecessary to lap these rings while the Precision Rings needed lapping. In fact, Vortex instructions advise not to lap the Viper Rings. It simply wasn't necessary on the two rifles I used them on and both had different types of one piece scope mounts. I have not tried to mount these rings on two piece scope mounts since I don't use them nor recommend that two piece scope mounts be used. Alignment with one piece scope mounts is a more reliable way to go in many, if not most, cases.
