Abercrombie's Review of Walkers X-TRM Ear Muffs
Having just received the replacement set of Walkers the same issues persists.
I'll give the Walkers X-TRM 2-stars simply because the materials used are great, however, the performance is sub-par at best.
The sound attenuation to pick up ANY directional source of sound does not exist on this model. Not to mention sounding like one is stuck in a tunnel.
Unless you're just going to use these on the range and don't care or need to know which direction the sound is coming from (which you would still need on a range) or maybe you just need to tune out and mute complaints from your spouse for buying new guns, I cannot in good conscience recommend this product, and I would vehemently recommend against using these for any First Responder or Law-Enforcement personnel who must know the source/direction of sound from a training to a real-world environment.
Stick with the cheaper sets of Walkers and you'll likely get better performance.
Sorry folks, this one is a dud until they correct the issue.
