Great tikka rings - Warne 30 Millimeter Rifle Scope Fixed Permanently Attached Tikka Medium Rings

depending on the length of the scope and,determine if the mounts are to be screw tightened from the left or right of top center. I screwed mine in on the left side of the rifle as it gave me a little more carriage support for my long scope. 10x40x50 on my Tikka 270wsm.
Started w/ the scope on it's side and placed the left side of the mount w/ recoil lug and then the right and installed screws fairly loose. Mounted the scope into the Tikka groves making sure the lug was in position and at the back of the lug pre-drilled hole. Snugged up the screws but left enough to adjust the scope for eye relief and reticle adjustments. I use a rifle rest and a tall building for verticle allignment but have used a plumbob and orange heavy string out 50 yyds or so. Install the rear mount same as the front. Snug it up but again, leave a little play. Set your eye relief and reticles and tighten them up alternately until approx 25#'s of pressure. I usually snug left bottom screw, right top,right bottom,left top or something in that order until the pressure is at the desired 25#'s and the scope is welded to the rifle. It's surprising how much difference good mounts will have on accuracy. And these mounts are super.
Pros: recoil key,steel mounts, 4 screws for tight mounting
Cons: a little tricky to mount as they are for a Tikka
