Great base - Weaver Extended Multi Slot Bases

Hello all. I just received the 'Weaver Extended Multi Slot Base Savage Accu SA 99495' base from OpticsPlanet and it works and installs as described. Fit and finish are perfect.

This is a long base - with 1" of extra forward length. I have a Burris Fullfield E1 3x9 40mm objective scope with a 1" tube mounted on Weaver tactical medium height rings, which are mounted on this base. There is about 1/8" of clearance from the bottom of the objective to the top of the base with these rings with proper eye relief set. So be careful if you have a larger scope and are not using high or extra high rings with it.

Some people may be confused by the 'Accutrigger' designation on this item for the Savage actions. For the past several years, Savage has been manufacturing the same actions for both Accutrigger and non-Accutrigger models (round top on the back of the action). As long as your action is not flat on top, this base will install. Weaver is simply noting that the base is rounded on the bottom for the Savage models - which used to designate whether a action was for an Accutrigger or not. This is no longer the case with Savage receivers - they're all round if they've been manufactured within the last few years.
